Fire Stopping Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

* Installation, maintenance, and inspection of passive fire protection measures, including fire stopping around penetrations, service ducts, and structural openings.

* Assessing and repairing defective or damaged fire stopping systems to ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards.

* Carrying out site surveys to identify fire safety risks and recommending appropriate remedial actions.

* Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.

* Adhering to health and safety protocols, using PPE, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

* Traveling to multiple sites as required, ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.

Fire Stopping Engineer Experience & Skills:

* Proven experience in fire stopping, passive fire protection, or related building safety work.

* Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, building regulations, and fire-resistant materials.

* Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

* A full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (required).

* Health & Safety awareness and experience working safely on-site.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Firestop Competency Certification or equivalent (Desirable)

* Passive Fire Protection Training (Desirable)

* CSCS Card (Desirable)

* PASMA, IPAF, or other relevant site access qualifications (Desirable)
