Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join a growing and professional technical team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault diagnosis of a range of electronic security and life-safety systems across commercial and residential sites. The successful candidate will be committed to high standards of workmanship, customer service, and compliance, with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire and security systems
Fault finding and repair across multiple system types
Working on systems including (but not limited to): Fire alarm systems
Intruder alarms
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Door entry and associated communications systems
Completing works in line with relevant British Standards and regulations
Accurately completing job reports and documentation
Providing a professional and customer-focused service on-site
Participating in an on-call rota (split into days, not weeks)
Working Hours
08:00
16:30
Overtime paid at 1.5x when working past contracted hours on weekdays
Paid travel time for journeys exceeding 30 minutes each way

Candidate Requirements
Previous experience working with fire and/or security systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of industry standards and regulations
Full UK driving license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional attitude with strong communication skills
