North Region Salary Up to £50,000 per annum + Overtime + Company Vehicle Job Type Permanent, Full-Time About the Opportunity Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, fire and security specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a close-knit and professional team, delivering high-quality service across a range of commercial and high-profile sites. The role offers a strong mix of independence and team collaboration, with opportunities for training, progression, and occasional UK and international travel. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on: Fire alarm systems Intruder alarms CCTV systems (analogue & IP) Access control systems Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across fire and security systems Work independently on customer sites and occasionally as part of a team Ensure all work is completed in line with industry standards and regulations Accurately complete service reports and documentation using mobile devices Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 10, after initial onboarding period) What Theyre Looking For Minimum 3 years experience in the fire and/or security industry Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across fire and security systems Good understanding of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems Excellent customer-facing and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Full UK driving licence Whats on Offer Competitive salary with overtime opportunities Company vehicle (fully expensed) Paid on-call allowance + call-out rates Company credit card for expenses Mobile phone and tablet/laptop provided Full PPE, uniform, and tools supplied Ongoing training and development (in-house & manufacturer-led) Pension scheme 4 weeks holiday + bank holidays (rising with service) Supportive, team-oriented working environment Additional Information Opportunity to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas (fully expensed) Security screening required (BS7858) and potential UK Government vetting Office visits required in Surrey when necessary Strong focus on employee wellbeing, including mental health support and wellbeing initiatives Accredited to recognised industry and quality standards
