Overview
Our client, a well-established education provider, is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead its Finance and Procurement functions.
This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, support organisational transformation, and drive sustainable growth. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performing financial and procurement services.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with organisational objectives
Lead treasury management and financial planning to support long-term sustainability
Oversee Finance and Procurement functions, ensuring efficiency and high performance
Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, policies, and best practice standards
Provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and the wider community
Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting
Deliver high levels of internal communication and customer service across departments
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPFA or equivalent)
Significant experience within the Further Education (FE) sector, including funding rules and regulations
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
Strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including procurement functions
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Strong understanding of financial governance, compliance, and risk management
