A growing, specialist manufacturer and global importer/exporter is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function. With a turnover of c£30M and an international client base, the business delivers high-value, bespoke products to customers worldwide and operates in a fast-paced, project-led environment.
This is a key leadership role offering real influence, working closely with senior management to provide financial insight, strengthen controls and support continued growth.

The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cashflow visibility and effective financial management across the business.
Key Responsibilities: Own monthly close, management accounts and balance sheet control
Manage project accounting, WIP, revenue recognition and rolling cashflow forecasting
Provide clear financial reporting and business partnering to the leadership team
Oversee UK and international VAT, duties and indirect compliance
Drive improvements to finance processes, systems, controls and data quality

Skills & Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in a Financial Controller or Head of Finance role or similar within a SME
Strong knowledge of project accounting, working capital and cashflow management
Experience operating in a multi-currency or international trading environment
Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working closely with Directors
