JMF Associates is pleased to present a unique opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller to join our client, a reputable manufacturing company based in North Kent. Reporting to the CFO and supervising a small Finance team, the Financial Controller will join the organisation at a time of significant change, which in turn, will presenting an exciting challenge. This key leadership role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving financial strategy and supporting operational efficiency, fostering strong relationships across departments.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with UKGAAPand internal accounting policies
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll accounting
Manage internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors
Develop and maintain standard costing systems
Analyse variancesand recommend corrective actions
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Analyse production costs and margins
Support capacity planning and capital expenditure budgeting
To be considered for this vacancy, the Financial Controller must have:
Proven experience as a Financial Controllerwithin the manufacturing sector.
Strong understanding of manufacturing finance processes and reporting.
Cost accounting experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage financial controls, compliance, and budgeting processes.
Relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3-8 years PQE.
