Rugeley, Staffordshire A global, established, and growing consumer products business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support strategic decision-making and strengthen financial control across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement, working closely with cross-functional teams. Importantly, this position offers a clear pathway to step up into a Finance Director role, making it an excellent opportunity for ambitious finance professionals seeking career progression. Key Responsibilities Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities Control and analyse product costings, margins, and customer performance Oversee month-end and year-end close in line with Group timelines Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls Utilise SAP ECC for reporting, analysis, and process automation Support audits and liaise with external finance partners Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting About You Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred) 7+ years experience in financial accounting and analysis Strong SAP ECC experience Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience advantageous Commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder communication skills Ambition to progress into a Finance Director role Whats on Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Pension and private healthcare Professional development opportunities
