Financial Controller - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Package: £100K-£110K + Bonus & Benefits

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading large business on a 12 month fixed-term contract (with potential for extension). This senior finance role provides oversight across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and delivering accurate, transparent outputs.
\n\t
• Oversee external reporting processes and statutory accounts, including coordination of external audits to Group timelines.
\n\t
• Deliver of Group External Financial Statements
\n\t
• Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, and Central Functions.
\n\t
• Provide technical accounting advice to support strategic decision-making.
\n\t
• Drive improvements in internal controls and maintain a strong control environment.
\n\t
• Manage balance sheet risks and opportunities, focusing on working capital and cash flow.
\n\t
• Prepare Board-level outputs for significant accounting judgements and key deliverables.
\n\t
• Oversee statutory cash flow processes and period-end reporting packs.
\n\t
• Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n\t
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
\n\t
• Proven experience in external reporting, financial accounting, and audit processes.
\n\t
• Background in Big 4 or large, complex organisations preferred.
\n\t
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and internal controls.
\n\t
• Familiarity with large ERP systems.
\n\t
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
\n\t
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to deputise for the Financial Controller.
\n\t
• Experience managing large finance teams.
\n
