Their culture is collaborative, values-driven, and focused on delivering quality outcomes for all stakeholders.Whats In It For YouRewarded with involvement in a vibrant Association with a can-do culturePension scheme23 days holiday + Bank Holidays (pro rata)Holiday increases to 28 days + Bank Holidays after 5 fully completed yearsOffice closes at 12 noon on the last working day before Christmas through to the first working day in the New YearOnsite parkingSmall office environmentInvestors in People Gold StandardLiving Wage Foundation ApprovedRequirementsEssentialFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CGMA/CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with at least two years post-qualification experienceExperience in management accounts, year-end preparation, audit support, forecasting and budget processesExperience managing a small Finance Team (2 x part time, 27.5 hrs)Strong understanding of VAT, payroll and pension processesExcellent spoken and written communication skillsStrong organisational skills, time management and attention to detailConscientious and diligentAbility to multi-taskExcellent accounts knowledgeAbility to work on own initiative in a proactive mannerStrategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger pictureDesirableDegree-level education in a related subject or equivalent experienceExperience of finance platforms such as Sage 50, Go Cardless, Opayo and ExperianManagement qualificationKnowledge of Gift AidDriving licence (preferable)The RoleResponsibility for the financial management of the Association and its subsidiary companies (RBA, QSS, APG, MTC and Services when required))Produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reports with commentary and analysisProduce annual budgets in conjunction with budget holders and the Director GeneralManage cashflow forecasts, credit control and supplier payment schedulesEnsure all supplier invoices and expenses are correctly processed, authorised and VAT accounted forPay creditors on time whilst ensuring cash flow is not compromisedManage payroll and pension schemes and ensure statutory reports are filed in a timely mannerPrepare year-end accounts and liaise with auditors throughout the audit processManage external relationships with auditors, bankers and professional bodiesManage and review supplier and service contracts annuallySupport all aspects of the annual subscription process and invoicing throughout the yearSupport the Company Secretary with administration as requiredProvide financial reports and information to the Director General and Leadership Team as requiredManage and develop the Finance Team, including monthly 1:1 meetings and annual appraisalsWork collaboratively with the Leadership Team to deliver the Association's strategyContribute to continuous improvement across operational areasSupport other areas of the business as required due to the size of the organisationFlexibility to work additional hours as required due to the seniority of the roleWhats next?
