We are working with a privately owned professional services business in Leeds as it enters a period of growth and increasing complexity.
Operating across multiple legal entities and corporate structures, the business is creating an opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager to step into their first Finance Director or CFO role.
This is a broad, hands-on finance leadership position within an entrepreneurial, founder-led environment, with exposure to acquisitions, group structuring and commercial strategy.
The Role
Full responsibility for the finance function
Management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
Oversight of multiple legal entities and group structures
Statutory reporting, audit and year-end
Tax, compliance and regulatory coordination
Design of financial controls and internal processes
Active involvement in acquisitions, including:
Financial assessment
Due diligence
Transaction support
Post-acquisition integration
Input into group structure and capital planning
Acting as a trusted finance partner to founders
The Person
Qualified accountant
Currently a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar
Ready for first Finance Director / CFO role
Experience in entrepreneurial or founder-led environments
Exposure to acquisitions or transaction activity
Comfortable across multi-entity structures
Commercial, pragmatic and autonomous
Financial services experience is not essential.
