Finance Business Partner - Goodman Masson

New Yesterday

Job Description

Goodman Masson is supporting a high-growth, globally expanding insurance broker in its search for a Finance Business Partner to join its central FP&A function, based in London.

The business has established itself as a disruptive force in its space, bringing a modern, data-driven and people-first approach to a historically traditional sector. With operations spanning multiple international markets, this is a unique opportunity to support on high-level commercial strategy and planning across a global business that continues to scale rapidly.

The role sits within the Group FP&A team and offers high visibility, with direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business. It combines commercial finance, data and decision support with longer-range strategic forecasting and planning. You’ll partner closely with both the business and Group Strategy, playing a key role in driving actionable insights and shaping the firm’s long-term direction.

This is an environment that values smart, collaborative individuals who thrive in high-growth, agile settings. Cultural fit is as important as technical experience — curiosity, relationship-building and a commercial mindset will be key.

The role is based in the City with a hybrid model of three days in the office, and is best suited to someone delivery-focused, analytical and keen to make an impact in a visible, fast-moving setting.

Please note: Unfortunately, the company is not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles across key global functions and specialties;
• Work closely with the strategy team to translate long-term business objectives into operational plans;
• Build robust KPI frameworks, track performance trends and anticipate issues with a solution-oriented approach;
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide critical analysis and challenge assumptions, helping shape business decisions;
• Deliver high-quality reporting on actuals, forecasts and plans, adding insightful commercial commentary;
• Evaluate new and existing initiatives through detailed financial appraisal and business case modelling;
• Leverage data and prescriptive analytics to answer strategic questions and support value creation;
• Drive FP&A process improvement and help lead the digitisation of planning and reporting activities.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent), circa 1 – 4 years post qualified;
• FP&A or commercial finance experience in a fast-paced, international business;
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insight;
• Commercially minded and comfortable partnering with senior leadership across diverse business areas;
• Experienced in planning cycles, financial modelling and evaluating business performance;
• Naturally collaborative, curious and proactive — someone who brings ideas and energy to the table;
• Confident user of modern finance systems and tools, with an appetite for process improvement and automation.
