Job Specification Job Title: Finance Assistant Area: Thetford Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Days) 9am to 17.00pm or 8am to 4pm Temp or Perm depending on candidate Full-Time, Office-Based Salary: £12.71 PH
Profile I am currently looking for a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager in a Multi-National Company, in this role you will provide essential support to the Finance department by assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable Assist with processing invoices, verifying expenses, and reconciling accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors. • Data Entry and Record-Keeping: Input financial data into accounting software and maintain organised records of transactions, receipts, and invoices for easy retrieval and reference. • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the finance department, including filing documents, answering phones, and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders. To also provide holiday cover for the Account Payable Manager and any other finance team member when needed.
Required Skills
• Financial Acumen: A strong understanding of basic financial principles, including accounting concepts, financial statements, and financial analysis. • Data Entry and Accuracy: Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when inputting financial information into accounting systems or spreadsheets. • Numerical Aptitude: Strong numerical skills for calculations, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data. • Analytical Skills: Capability to analyse financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making.
Personal/Interpersonal Skills • Organisation and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
