This role sits within a collaborative Financial Planning & Reporting team and supports a portfolio of research and project accounts, providing accurate financial reporting, insight, and compliance across grant-funded activity. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with data, supporting stakeholders, and ensuring financial information is both accurate and meaningful.
The Role
You will play a key role in producing financial information across research and project accounts, supporting month-end processes, budgeting, and reporting. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and budget holders, you will ensure project spend is accurately recorded, compliant with funding requirements, and clearly reported. Preparing financial claims and reporting packs Carrying out reconciliations and variance analysis Posting and reviewing journals Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit activity. Contribute to process improvements and system development, helping to enhance reporting quality and efficiency, while building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
About You
This role would suit someone with experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and management information, ideally within a project, grants, or regulated environment. You'll have strong Excel and systems skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
