Field Service Engineer - Yorkshire
A leading UK dealer and service provider for premium construction and agricultural plant is looking for a Field Service Engineer to support customers across Yorkshire. This is a mobile, customer facing role focused on diagnostics, servicing and repairs of modern heavy plant machinery. You will work closely with manufacturer systems and standards.
Salary and Overtime
Pay is set against a structured technical grade framework. The figures below are a rough guide to likely earnings based on the current grading range and the guaranteed minimum overtime. Actual pay will depend on your grade on entry, experience, and the overtime worked in your area.
Grade 12 pays £12.31 per hour.
Grade 12 basic salary is circa £25,605 per year.
Grade 12 expected earnings with guaranteed minimum overtime are circa £37,127 per year.
Technical Grade 1 pays £21.71 per hour.
Technical Grade 1 basic salary is circa £45,157 per year.
Technical Grade 1 expected earnings with guaranteed minimum overtime are circa £65,477 per year.
Overtime is paid daily after 8 hours.
A minimum of 10 overtime hours per week is built into the role.
The Role
You will diagnose, service and repair heavy plant equipment across the full product range.
You will deliver a world class customer experience on every visit.
You will build strong relationships with customers in your patch.
You will complete job reports and compliance paperwork accurately and on time.
You will operate independently in the field, using technical judgement to resolve issues quickly.
Hours
You will work 40 hours per week from 08.00 to 16.30.
You will take a half hour unpaid lunch break each day.
Overtime is available and guaranteed minimum levels apply.
What You Will Need
You will hold NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent, with relevant plant, HGV, construction or agricultural engineering experience.
You will have strong capability across hydraulics, axles, transmissions including manual and power shift, and cam bus electrical systems.
You will bring high level technical knowledge of JCB machinery or equivalent premium plant equipment.
You will be confident working remotely and independently, and able to make sound decisions in the field.
You will provide a portfolio of certifications and achievements.
You will demonstrate professional customer facing skills and a calm approach under pressure.
You will hold a full UK driving licence.
