Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our team. The role involves visiting customers in their homes and other environments such as hospitals, care homes, and schools to repair, maintain, deliver, and demonstrate specialist equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is safe, functional, and properly demonstrated to users while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Fault finding and repairing equipment in customer homes and other locations Delivering equipment and demonstrating correct usage to service users Collecting equipment when required Carrying out planned preventative maintenance Completing scheduled daily jobs allocated by the service team Responding to emergency repairs when required Providing a professional, courteous, and empathetic service to customers Ensuring health and safety standards are followed at all times Keeping company vehicle clean, organised, and fully stocked
Working Hours
40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Requirements
Good practical or mechanical skills Strong problem-solving ability Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage daily jobs effectively Full UK driving licence
Salary
£26,436.80 per year
Bonus
Up to £2,000 per year in KPI bonuses, paid quarterly KPI's include maintaining a clean and organised van, wearing company uniform, and general performance standards
On-Call Allowance
£180 per week when covering on-call Typically 1 in every 4-5 weeks On-call hours: Weekdays: 6:00pm - 11:00pm Weekends: 7:00am - 7:00pm The successful candidate will take the on-call phone home and attend emergency call-outs if required.
Holiday
25 days annual leave + 8 days Bank Holiday Increases to 28 days after 5 years' continuous service
