Location: Workshop,West Bromwich (field-based with travel to customer sites)

RP Moran Crane Repairs Ltd is a specialist in the installation, servicing, and repair of lorry-mounted cranes and commercial vehicle equipment. We support operators across the Midlands and beyond, delivering high-quality engineering, rapid response, and reliable technical expertise. As our workload continues to grow, were looking to expand our team with a skilled and motivated Service Engineer.

You will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of lorry-mounted cranes (HIAB, Palfinger, Fassi, HMF, Atlas etc.) and associated hydraulic and electrical systems. This is a varied, hands-on role involving both workshop and field-based work.

• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults on lorry-mounted cranes
• Carry out routine servicing, LOLER inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Perform repairs, component replacements, and system calibrations
• Complete job sheets, service reports, and customer documentation accurately
• Provide professional on-site support to customers
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service

• Experience working with lorry-mounted cranes or similar hydraulic equipment
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read technical diagrams and follow diagnostic procedures
• Full UK driving licence
• Self-motivated, xbpsjku reliable, and able to work independently
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
