Field Service Engineer Heavy Plant
Location: West midlands - Start your work day from home.
Salary: £43,000 - 45,000 + Overtime (OTE £45,000£55,000+)
Working Hours: 08:00 16:30 (Overtime Paid Before & After)

The Opportunity
Join a globally recognised heavy equipment manufacturer supporting critical construction and quarry operations across the UK.
This is a home-based Field Service Engineer role, covering the West Midlands region, where youll take ownership of your day, travelling directly from home to customer sites. Youll be working on a range of high-value plant machinery, playing a key role in keeping essential equipment operational.
With a team of just 12 engineers nationwide, this is a close-knit, specialist environment where your contribution is visible and valued.
The Role
    • Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant equipment
    • Working across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
    • Managing your own workload typically 1 to 3 jobs per day depending on complexity
    • Attending customer sites including quarries, construction, and infrastructure projects
    • Occasional overnight stays as required
    • Ensuring high standards of safety and customer service at all times

What Were Looking For
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
    • Valid CSCS Card
    • Proven exierience in fault finding and maintenance
    • Strong knowledge of:
        • Hydraulics

        • Electrical systems

        • Mechanical systems
    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

Desirable (Not Essential)
    • Quarry Passport
    • HS2 Site Card
