Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor in Birmingham.
Requirements:
- Monday to Friday full time availability
- Knowledge of health and Safety, compliance and data protection
- Experience in facilities operations, site security and contractor management
- Supervisory experience with staff teams.
Main responsibilities:
Facilities Operations
Manage daily site maintenance, cleaning rotas, and consumables stock.
Oversee contractors and service schedules, ensuring compliance and value for money.
Operate and monitor site security systems (intruder alarms, access control, key holders).
Maintain accurate records of fire, gas, and equipment servicing; conduct weekly fire alarm tests.
Support room bookings and external hires, ensuring excellent customer service.
Compliance & Safety
Implement health & safety procedures, including COSHH and task-specific risk assessments.
Support fire drills, evacuation procedures, and food hygiene checks with the maintenance team.
Ensure cleaning staff follow safe practices and maintain required documentation.
Staff Supervision
Lead and motivate cleaning staff, managing rotas, training, and performance reviews.
Provide cover for cleaning duties or site opening/closing when required.
Administration & Support
Issue staff and visitor ID badges.
Liaise with IT support and Heads of Service to maintain equipment inventories.
Assist with policy development, audits, and community events.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Compliance & Facilities Manager to improve risk management and service standards.
Deputise for the Manager when required.
