Social network you want to login/join with: Shadow To Shine is looking for a new CEO! This is a unique opportunity to lead a fast-growing and innovative youth charity that is growing at an ultra-fast pace and working with some of the biggest brands in the world.
Shadow To Shine is a new a youth organisation that creates opportunities. We bridge the gap between young people and their professional goals, by levelling the playing field for young people from under-represented backgrounds. We offer training programmes, opportunities and networking possibilities to gain skills and access to working environments that can be hard to access.
In the 5 years weve been around, we have worked with over 500 young Londoners, partnered with global giants such as BP, Samsung, Sky and TCS and amassed over 150 mentors representing some of the most sought-after organisations including Vogue, Kloss, Twitter, HSBC, Bloomberg.
We have successfully won a series of multi-year grants and are supported financially with large grants from the likes of Westminster Council, City Bridge Trust, Foyle Foundation, Clothworkers Foundation, Lloyds Bank Foundation and a number of other smaller funders.
Role: Chief Executive Officer Shadow To Shine
Location: Hybrid, including our office at 5 Dorset Street, Marylebone, London, W1U 6QJ and multiple locations across London
Contract: permanent, full time
Are you our next CEO? We welcome non-traditional applicants to this role and have a very active Board of Trustees who are willing to provide support to the new CEO to ensure they succeed. If you are a big vision thinker with a track record of making things happen, but you dont have a lot of charity experience or CEO experience, we would still be interested in hearing from you if you can demonstrate:
Passion and commitment to young people, diversity, and employability.
Extensive experience in corporate partnerships or building relationships with senior decision-makers.
Understanding of the needs of diverse youth in London.
Awareness of socio-economic trends impacting young people's employability.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with beneficiaries, staff members, senior corporate executives, and opinion formers.
Financial acumen for setting and operating budgets and developing social enterprise activities.
Background representative of or lived experience comparable to the diverse communities we work with.
