Monarch Education is seeking reliable, professional, and vigilant individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators supporting secondary schools across the East Midlands during the busy examination periods. This role is ideal for candidates looking for flexible, part‑time work within an educational environment.
Role Overview
As an Exam Invigilator, you will ensure that all examinations are conducted in accordance with the regulations set by awarding bodies. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and security of the exam process, ensuring students have a fair and calm environment in which to complete their assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the exam room and ensure exam regulations are followed at all times Set up exam materials, distribute papers and assist with seating arrangements Monitor students throughout the examination, maintaining a quiet and controlled environment Deal with queries raised by students in accordance with exam protocols Collect and secure completed exam papers Record attendance and report any irregularities or incidents Assist with the set‑up and clearing of the exam room before and after each session
Essential Requirements
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility Ability to remain alert and observant throughout exam sessions Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards Flexibility to work variable hours during exam seasons
