Can you step into a live event and confidently take it across the line?

We’re working with a highly credible, purpose‑driven organisation to find an experienced Events Manager to lead delivery of a flagship annual event taking place this summer. This is a short‑term contract created to cover a critical delivery period and ensure a high‑profile event lands smoothly.

This is a hands‑on, senior delivery role - ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, pace, and working with stakeholder‑led, professional audiences.

The Opportunity
You’ll be stepping into a project already in motion, taking responsibility for the final pre‑event phase, live delivery, and immediate wrap‑up. Depending on availability, the role can:
  • Start part‑time (e.g. 3 days per week) and move to full‑time as the event approaches, or
  • Be full‑time from day one, with scope to support additional events
This is a collaborative environment, but you’ll be the person holding everything together.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Taking ownership of a major annual event from run‑up through to delivery
  • Coordinating multiple workstreams, including:
    • Stakeholder management
    • Speaker coordination
    • Marketing and communications
    • Website and digital content
    • Sponsorship deliverables
    • Branding and design assets
    • Suppliers and production partners
    • On‑the‑day logistics
  • Line‑managing an Events Officer
  • Working closely with a wider internal team to ensure deadlines and standards are met
  • Leading calmly and professionally on the event days themselves
Working Pattern & Location
  • Contract length: approx. 2–3 months
  • Start: ASAP
  • Working pattern: Flexible (part‑time initially or full‑time from the start)
  • Location: Hybrid, with a strong preference for being predominantly on site in central London due to the nature and timeline of the role
About You This role is suited to someone who:
  • Has delivered complex, high‑profile events (conferences, summits, investor or policy‑led events)
  • Is comfortable stepping into a live project and taking control quickly
  • Has strong stakeholder management skills and can work with senior, time‑poor audiences
  • Is confident coordinating comms, suppliers, branding and logistics in parallel
  • Enjoys delivery‑focused, short‑term assignments where precision matters
Experience in investment, ESG, policy, professional services or similar environments is a strong advantage.
