This is a key leadership role where you'll shape performance, drive efficiencies, and develop a high-performing team.The role :As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the transport and logistics function, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation:Lead and manage the full European road freight operation, including import/export movementsOversee customs compliance processes, ensuring all regulations are metManage costings, invoicing, and quotations to maintain commercial performanceBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners across EuropeMonitor and improve transport costs, delivery performance, and operational efficiencyPlan routes, manifest shipments, and ensure smooth execution of all transport activitiesAnalyse performance data and implement improvements based on KPIsHandle customer queries and resolve operational challenges effectivelyLead, motivate, and develop a team, ensuring high standards and engagementIdentify opportunities for business growth and new contractsProduce regular operational and performance reportsEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standardsWhat We're Looking ForExperience:Proven experience as an Operations Manager within European road freight / truckingStrong understanding of import/export logistics and customs proceduresTrack record of improving processes and driving operational efficiencyExperience managing KPIs, budgets, and performance metricsSkills:Strong leadership and people management abilityExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsConfident communicator with strong customer focusIT literate (Microsoft Office; transport systems experience beneficial)WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
