We are working with a well-respected, reputable Main Contractor who specialise in delivering refurbishment and new build projects within the Public Sector (Education, Healthcare etc.)
As a result of growth, they are looking to add to their team of trusted commercial staff and recruit an Estimator to join them on a permanent basis.
The company are experiencing a period of extended growth, and have significant growth plans in place to enable the business to significantly grow their turnover during 2026.
This position would suit a candidate who has experience working on public sector (NHS/Education) commercial works and frameworks, both JCT & NEC Contracts in traditional & design and build, up to a value of £5m.
Your responsibilities will span across Project Evaluation, Cost Estimation, Tender Preparation, Subcontractor & Supplier Management, Risk Analysis and Tender Presentation & Negotiation.
Your duties will include:
Preparing and processing of quotations, bids and tenders
Supplier and sub-contractor enquires
Produce bills of quantities, schedule of work and contractor proposals
Assess material, labour and plant requirements
Increase and develop the supply chain at regional offices
Review unsuccessful bids and client feedback to improve accuracy for future bids
Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders
Provide guidance to other members of staff
Maintain accurate company records
The successful candidate must have prior experience working for a Main Contractor working as an Estimator within the on commercial/public sector.
