We are looking to support our client – a leading international power generation specialist, with a requirement for an Estimator / Tendering Engineer on a permanent staff basis. The company supports other clients in improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and achieving net zero goals by delivering low-carbon, cost-effective energy and battery storage solutions using diverse fuel sources like biogas, natural gas, and landfill gas.
They are seeking an Estimator / Tendering Engineer to join their Sales Team on a full-time, permanent basis, located near Stockport. Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.Salaries are negotiable depending on experience with figures up to 60K per annum possible for the most suitable candidates.

Estimator / Tendering Engineer - The Role:
As an Estimator / Tendering Engineer, you will support sales activity by preparing high-quality, commercially sound tenders and proposals. Aiming to turn sales leads into profitable projects, you will produce accurate, competitive bids and maintain a strong understanding of technical and commercial conditions. You will review detailed engineering tender packages, evaluate project viability from both technical and practical perspectives, and carry out site visits to ensure rate accuracy and proposal relevance. Additionally, you will:
* - Manage communication with clients - Prepare price estimates, budgetary proposals, and formal bid submissions
* - Interpret client specifications and identify deviations where necessary
* - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
About You:
To be considered as an Estimator / Tendering Engineer, you will need:
* - To have a degree qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two years’ experience within a similar role or equivalent OR
* - To have an HND/HNC qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of three years’ experience within a similar role or equivalent
* - To have experience in the successful technical management and development of energy projects
* - To have considerable technical expertise in power generation utilising reciprocating engines, batteries, standby and all associated mechanical and electrical systems, energy production and O&M operation, CDM and health and safety
* - To have competency in Microsoft Office Packages and experience using CRM systems for tracking proposals
* - To have an understanding of building cost models and pricing strategies
* - To have a full, valid driving licence
