Estimator Trainee

DCT Recruitment is looking for a Commercial/Project Estimator Trainee to join our fast growing client on a temporary basis with scope to stay on and develop a long term career.
The ideal candidate is not expected to already be proficient but should be proactive and be keen to learn, training will be provided by someone with over 40 years experience, with the expectation that you will gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.
The Role:
- This is a varied position that will develop over time, offering exposure to multiple areas of the business, including: - Supporting with estimates and basic costings (full training provided) - Assisting with tender preparation and project documentation - Managing emails and handling incoming calls - Compiling and organising project data - Creating presentations and reports - General day-to-day administrative support - Occasional site visits to gain a better understanding of project

- Be organised and comfortable working with numbers - Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Show a proactive, can-do attitude - Be keen to learn and develop within a specialist industry - Be reliable, grounded and willing to get involved in all aspects of the role
