Justteachers are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Clitheroe who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team. The position is to start as soon as possible and may become permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English specialist who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils develop strong literacy skills, confidence, and a love for English.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that challenge, motivate, and support students of varying abilities.
* Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a strong work ethic.
* Contribute to the wider English department, including curriculum planning and collaborative teaching approaches.
* Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school policies.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
* A proactive, engaging, and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
