As demand continues to grow across Nottinghamshire, we're looking for passionate English Teachers to join our team and support learners who thrive with targeted, flexible teaching.
About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to teach English in a non-traditional setting, where your expertise will directly impact learners’ academic progress and confidence. Sessions typically take place in students’ homes or educational settings and are tailored to meet their individual needs and learning plans.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and personalised English lessons (1:1 or small group)
Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
Simplify complex concepts to ensure accessibility and understanding
Provide clear and constructive written feedback after each session
Travel to learner locations within Nottinghamshire
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection
What We’re Looking For
Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum (ideally up to Key Stage 4)
Previous experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students
Excellent communication and lesson planning skills
Patient, empathetic, and confident in building learner rapport
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
