Salary : Circa £50,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working : 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

This opportunity is for an Engineering Team Lead to join the Calibration & Maintenance department at Stevenage, which is part of the Manufacturing functional organisation. The Calibration & Maintenance Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for day-to-day planning and completion of STTE (special to type test equipment) calibrations. Knowledge of calibration requirements, calibration controls & equipment capabilities is critical, as well as the ability to work in cross functional teams, reporting to external stakeholders.

Manage routine calibrations of electrical STTE & COTS and report back to key stakeholders (MOMs & TLs) Responsible for KPIs such as start on time, schedule adherence and lead time for all routine calibrations. Manage day to day deliverables of both engineers & operators within the team - routine calibrations, calibration failure / non-conformance, COTS workload & backlog. Support team development - conducting performance and development reviews in accordance with MBDA PAD2 process. Working with external suppliers to manage offload calibration activities. You will be working with the wider C&M department supporting the Operations teams to deliver their routine calibration activities and drive continuous improvement.

What we're looking for from you:

Minimum NVQ L3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject. Proven people manager experience. Sound technical knowledge of test equipment (STTE & COTS), both theory and practical. A strong understanding of calibration principles. Demonstrated experience leading audits and managing compliance to relevant standards.
