Shift Engineering Team Lead
Location: Gunstones Bakery, Dronfield
Working Hours: 4 on / 4 off, 2 days / 2 nights
Salary: Competitive Salary + benefits

The Role
As a Shift Engineering Supervisor, you'll take ownership of engineering performance across your shift - leading, supporting, and developing a team of skilled engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of priorities and actions. Attending and contributing to daily operational meetings. Overseeing breakdown response, prioritising engineering resources effectively to minimise downtime. Driving preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance. Leading and motivating your team - balancing people management (around 90% of the role) with hands-on technical support when required.
About You
Proven experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong leadership and people management skills - able to coach, motivate and develop your team. Solid understanding of maintenance systems, reliability, and engineering processes. A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic production setting. Excellent communicator, capable of collaborating across departments and influencing outcomes.
