Engineering Project Manager in West Midlands

Our client, a local authority within the highways sector, is seeking a skilled Engineering Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves leading the PRINCE2 project management of transport infrastructure initiatives, aimed at enhancing travel and connectivity throughout the county.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the delivery of local authority transport infrastructure projects
Applying PRINCE2 methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders, including the public, contractors, and government bodies
Solving engineering, financial, and stakeholder-related challenges
Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for all project phases
Leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
Providing flexible project management support at the office, home, and on construction sites
Overseeing budgets and funding streams to ensure financial efficiency
Job Requirements:
Experience in project management within the highways or transport infrastructure sector
Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences
Strong problem-solving abilities across engineering, financial, and stakeholder challenges
Flexibility to work from the office, home, and construction sites as required
Experience in managing stakeholders and multiple work streams
Ability to manage budgets and funding sources effectively
High level of organisation with strong documentation and project management skills
Understanding of PRINCE2 methodologies and their application in project management
