Engineering Manager
Swindon
£85k - £110k + Car Allowance
We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a major infrastructure project in South Wales. This is a senior technical position within a Tier 1 delivery environment, offering the opportunity to play a key role on a complex, high-value scheme.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating all engineering activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring technical compliance, buildability, safety, and programme alignment. Working closely with senior project leadership, you will provide technical direction and support to both design and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage engineering activities across the project
* Coordinate design, temporary works and construction engineering
* Ensure compliance with contractual, technical and statutory requirements
* Provide technical leadership to site and design teams
* Review and approve engineering deliverables, methodologies and RAMS
* Manage engineering risk, change control and technical assurance
* Support construction teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
* Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors and assurance bodies
About You
* Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or senior engineering role on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
* Strong background in heavy civils, structures, tunnelling, rail, highways or utilities
* Excellent understanding of engineering assurance, temporary works and design coordination
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant engineering qualification (Civil or Structural Engineering )
* Chartered status (ICE or similar) desirable
