Engineering & Maintenance Manager Permanent Position Role Overview The Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor will lead and manage the Maintenance Department, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across both the Grassington and Keighley sites. The role involves supervising staff, planning and scheduling maintenance activities, and supporting the Engineering & Maintenance Manager in maintaining operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the workload of the maintenance team, planning daily tasks for engineers. Schedule and prioritize both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to align with production shifts. Ensure all necessary parts and resources are available for maintenance tasks. Monitor and update the maintenance job system accurately, confirming completion and equipment safety. Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces across all maintenance areas. Ensure full compliance with company procedures and standards within the Engineering Department. Ensure all department staff are trained and competent to perform their duties effectively. Assist in developing, implementing, and improving maintenance procedures for factory and farm operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, or arrange and oversee repairs as required. Support planning and management of installation activities. Liaise with engineering suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with management to maintain safe, efficient site operations. Deputize for the Engineering & Maintenance Manager as required. This list is not exhaustive; other reasonable duties may be assigned by the Manager. Candidate Requirements Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial or production environments. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with maintenance management systems and compliance procedures. Ability to work across multiple sites effectively. Strong communication and leadership skills.
