Engineering Design Manager Salary Range : £45,000 to £55,000 Location : Hull

The Opportunity: As an Engineering Design Manager, you'll play a key role in: Maintain existing designs, revision, managing new product integration, and steering site development projects to support growth. Owning the technical documentation and compliance process, ensuring all systems meet rigorous international standards. Providing hands-on support with complex CAD projects, while also offering oversight and mentorship to a growing design team. Driving structural design and analysis, numerical modelling, and liaising with notified bodies and international technical committees. Managing the commissioning of manufacturing equipment and taking ownership of construction-related engineering initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the safe, compliant and timely delivery of innovative engineering solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment. About You: We're looking for someone who can bring: Proven structural or mechanical design experience within a safety-critical, manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong understanding of product development processes and a disciplined, analytical approach to design evaluation. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, lead suppliers and contractors, and represent the business externally. Ambition to grow into a more senior leadership role in the future, with the desire to build and lead a multidisciplinary team. Experience or confidence working with hydraulic, mechanical, electrical or software systems is advantageous. You'll be naturally curious, confident in your decisions, and humble enough to seek input when needed.
