Whether you’re based in an office environment or working out in the field, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the nation connected. From day one, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real infrastructure projects - learning how networks are designed, built, maintained and improved across England, Wales and Scotland. This is practical, meaningful work that powers businesses, communities and essential services nationwide. No two days are the same, and every project contributes to something bigger.

Our engineering programmes

Our engineering apprenticeships are designed to support you as you grow from learning the fundamentals to developing specialist expertise. You’ll gain recognised qualifications, hands-on experience and the confidence to build a long-term career in engineering.

Depending on the programme, you may be:

Working in the field, travelling to different sites and supporting live network infrastructure. Based in an office environment, collaborating on network design, planning and optimisation.

Person requirements

These roles could be for you if:

You put safety first, always making smart choices around keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. You enjoy figuring things out, whether that’s solving problems or learning new technical skills. For field-based roles, you’re happy to travel when required, hold a clean driving licence and have a flexible attitude to working hours. You’re motivated by turning complex real-world problems into smart technical solutions. You’re great at staying organised, juggling tasks, setting priorities, and planning your work so you always stay ahead. You meet UK Government apprenticeship levy funding eligibility requirements.
