Employment Senior Associate - Top Tier Firm - 5-8 PQE

Salary £115,000 - £130,000

City of London (Hybrid working)

A Legal 100 firm, well known for it's Top Tier work in the Employment sector and awarded as one of the top UK firms, is looking for a strong Senior Associate level Solicitor (5-7 PQE) to join their fantastic team. Based in central London they have an existing team of substantial size and of significant reputation. They are able to advise clients on specific matters at a high level and are offering a diverse respondent caseload on a advisory and litigated basis. This includes high court matters, disciplinaries, grievances, contracts, policies, trade union issues, transactional support, and more. They advise both UK and multinational clients, with a current caseload that includes a significant amount of Irish and Hong Kong employment law.

The firm typically takes lawyers from the London offices of major US and international firms, with this role being an excellent opportunity for an already strong Solicitor (ideally working in a Legal 500 ranked Employment Team) to achieve excellent career advancement within a team offering work at highest level. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of matters, contentious and advisory, for major respondent clients.
• Work alongside Senior Partners on significant national and multinational matters.
• Deliver outstanding client service, with relationship building and a sound understanding of client legal and commercial requirements.
• Support in the training and management of junior members of staff, providing for the continued growth of the team.
• Conduct advocacy when required.
• Assist other areas of the firm when required.

Skills and Experience:

• UK qualified Employment Solicitor with 5 - 8 years PQE from a national or international firm, ideally with a ranked Legal 500 employment team.
• A demonstrated track record and an enthusiasm for high-quality employment law matters.
• Strong academic background at degree and A-level, with an undergraduate degree of 2:1 or greater.
• Technically strong understanding with excellent client management skills.
• Ability to lead on tribunal matters with confidence.
• A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal and team development.

Desirable Skills (Non-essential)

• Experience with international employment law is not necessary but is advantageous, specifically Hong Kong and Irish matters.
