Key Responsibilities:
Lead verification and validation activities for real-time application software supporting the next generation of missile systems. Translate system requirements into robust test cases, prepare and execute test plans, capture results, and provide clear, actionable insights back to project teams. Apply strong practical problem-solving skills, hands-on data acquisition capability, and the ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced engineering environment.
What do you need?:
Essential
Extensive experience delivering Verification & Validation (V&V) activities within embedded software environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. Clear and confident communicator, able to articulate technical insights to diverse stakeholders. High-quality documentation skills with attention to accuracy and compliance. Ability to interpret requirements and convert them into structured, traceable test cases and procedures. Hands-on experience working in a lab environment on electro-mechanical products running embedded software. Solid understanding of the full software development and engineering lifecycle. Practical scripting skills to support test execution and automation. Proven embedded software development experience using Ada and/or C/C++.
Advantageous
Experience working within safety-critical or regulated engineering environments. Familiarity with industry standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, and DO-330. Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS). Exposure to Model-Driven Design methodologies. Understanding of automated test methods and supporting frameworks. Working knowledge of tools such as DOORS, Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Rapita Suite, Rhapsody, and LDRA. Experience performing breakpoint analysis. Proven capability in conducting focused and structured code reviews.
