Location: Reading, PA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM after an initial training period

Pay Rate: $26.25 – $36.05 per hour

Role Snapshot

Step into a hands-on role where your mechanical know-how keeps a high-volume manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and improve industrial equipment and building systems while upholding rigorous safety practices.

A Day in the Life

Tackle reactive and scheduled maintenance on production and facility assets to maximize uptime.

Diagnose issues tied to bearings, gearboxes, pumps, chain drives, and related mechanical components—then execute effective repairs.

Lay out and install mechanical devices and systems in accordance with applicable codes and plant standards.

Fabricate simple brackets, guards, or frames by welding or bolting using prints and diagrams.

Interpret schematics, drawings, and service manuals to plan and complete work.

Support both preventive and corrective maintenance programs to reduce repeat failures.

Keep the work area orderly and safe; strictly follow plant policies, including LOTO and Confined Space Entry.

Pitch in with additional duties as business needs evolve.

What You’ll Bring

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a technical certification, or 3+ years with a high school diploma/equivalent.

Hands-on capability in hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Experience with industrial control systems, including PLCs.

Strong mechanical diagnostic ability and analytical thinking.

Comfort with measurement and test tools (tape measures, micrometers, voltage meters, etc.).

Clear communication, sound organization, and confident decision-making.

Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.

Physical ability to perform the work, including lifting up to 50lbs unassisted.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $26.25 to $36.05 per hour. A $1.00 per hour shift differential applies to this schedule. Final pay is determined by the role’s scope, your experience, education, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market/business considerations. If authorized to work outside the listed location, pay may be geographically adjusted.
