Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding duties in line with engineering specifications and site procedures.
Work on site at HMNB Faslane, supporting naval and defence-related projects.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Install, terminate, test, and maintain electrical systems, cabling, panels, and equipment.
Use appropriate electrical tools, test equipment, and installation methods safely and effectively.
Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health & safety, quality, and security standards.
Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, and engineering staff to meet project schedules and deadlines. Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Electrician:
Security Clearance (SC Cleared)
Mandatory
Time-served Electrician or equivalent recognised electrical qualification
Previous experience working in marine, shipbuilding, defence, or heavy engineering environments
Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and testing procedures
Ability to work from electrical drawings and specifications with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to health & safety compliance
