Electrician – Social Housing (Reactive Maintenance)

Contract Type: Permanent
Location: North West London (Brent & occasional Islington)
Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 per year

Build Recruitment are currently working with a leading Housing Association to recruit an experienced Electrician to join their reactive maintenance team across North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a well-paid, long-term role with excellent benefits and consistent local work.

The Role:
You will be carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs within occupied domestic and social housing properties. The role requires strong fault-finding skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in tenants’ homes.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Fault finding and diagnostics on domestic electrical systems
Testing & inspection, including EICRs
Carrying out reactive maintenance and repair works
Working within occupied properties and liaising with tenants
Using a PDA to manage and complete jobs
Delivering excellent customer service at all timesRequirements:

Experience in electrical maintenance, testing, or domestic installations
Background in social housing, housing associations, or council properties preferred
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong communication and problem-solving skillsQualifications Required:

City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
NVQ Level 3
2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent)Benefits:
