Electrician (Lighting Projects)\n Location: Birmingham \n Contract: Permanent \n Salary: £36,000pa - £40,000pa \n Working Pattern: Mon - Thu, 10-hour night shifts, ~ 80% nightwork \n Package: Company van, Night premiums, Overtime enhancements, Full training\n \n Overview:\n \n Working with a leading nationwide technical services provider delivering lighting and electrical solutions across major retail, industrial, commercial and government sites. This role is highly site-based with the majority of work carried out overnight across multiple UK locations. Travel, accommodation and subsistence are fully covered, with strong opportunities to increase earnings through uplifts, overtime and fixed-price project bonuses.\n \n Key Responsibilities:\n \nInstall high-quality LED lighting and electrical systems \nWork from electrical drawings, schematics and circuit diagrams \nSupport minor electrical works and assist with test & inspection (training provided) \nMaintain excellent workmanship with zero rework \nWork collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors and site teams \nFollow all H&S procedures and operate safely at all times \nComplete night shifts (Mon-Thu), including stay-away work when required \nMaintain company van, tools and materials responsibly Skills & Qualifications:\n \nFully qualified Electrician (18th Edition) \nLED lighting experience (advantageous but not essential) \n2391 Test & Inspection - desirable (training available) \nSSSTS, IPAF, PASMA - desirable (training available) \nComfortable with night shifts, travel and stay-away work \nAble to work at heights (up to 3m) and lift up to 25kg \nStrong communication skills and customer focus \nFull UK driving licence \nSelf-motivated, reliable and able to work independently Why Join\n \nWork on high-profile projects with major clients \nStrong career progression and multi-skill training \nJoin a respected, nationwide technical services organisation Earnings & Overtime Structure\n \nNight premium: +35% uplift per night shift \nOvertime: x1.33 beyond standard working pattern \nSundays: x2 \nFixed-price project options: additional earning potential Most Electricians exceed base salary through night uplift, overtime, Sunday double time and fixed-price assignments.\n Travel & Allowances\n \nCompany-arranged travel to maximise time on site \nBoth work and travel time recorded via timesheets \nEnhanced overtime rates applied to eligible travelled hours \nMeals & accommodation covered in line with company policy and HMRC guidance \nOptional £40/night friends & family allowance instead of hotel stays Included in the Package\n \nCompany vehicle \nHoliday pay & pension \nBonuses and responsibility allowances \nFull uniform, tools and PPE
