Operating from our head office, warehouse, and purpose-built training centre in Hertford, we deliver high-quality electrical services while continuously developing and supporting our people.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer to join our growing team predominantly within South / Southwest London with the core hours being Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00.
You will be carrying out Fixed wiring testing (EICRs) in a variety of properties, predominantly in the communal areas of housing association/local council properties and in sheltered accommodation schemes. The post holder will also be required to complete required remedial works, including small installation works such as 3 phase distribution board replacements. The post holder may also at times be required to complete fixed wiring testing and inspection within domestic units.\nKey Responsibilities\nComplete EICR’s and carry out necessary remedial works to current standards and client specifications\nCarry out electrical testing, inspection, installation and maintenance works as required.\nHave a good understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify/ report faults.\nInterpret electrical / site drawings when necessary\nEnsure safe working procedures in accordance with the current health and safety regulations and all other relevant regulations.\nFill out all paperwork and/or use the Oneserve / Easy Cert applications accurately and in a timely manner\nCommunicate with clients, and colleagues when required.\nDeliver exceptional customer service\nAdhere to any company policy\nTo undertake any training provided by the company\nTo Support any business change for the benefit of the company\nAny ad-hoc duties as reasonably instructed by your line manager or directors\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExtensive knowledge of the testing and inspection procedure.\nExperience of working with 3 phase electrical systems\nElectrical installation experience\nExperience in the completion of electrical certification.\nExperience of fault finding\nAccurate reporting of works undertaken/further works required\nExperience of working from mobile devices is essential to complete job sheets electronically in an accurate and timely manner.\nGood practical skills\nGood communication skills\nAdministrative skills\nPositive attitude and time keeping\nWhat You Will Have\nCity and Guilds NVQ level 3 electrotechnical qualification or equivalent\nAM2 practical assessment \nCity and Guilds 2391-51 or equivalent\nCity and Guilds 2382-18 – BS7671 18th Edition update.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Fixatex, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
