This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work within a critical environment, supporting the smooth operation of electrical systems in a prestigious, modern building.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and fault-finding of electrical building services, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works\n\t\nFault-find and repair electrical systems including lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution\n\t\nMonitor and respond to alarms and BMS issues (training provided if required)\n\t\nEnsure all works comply with health & safety and statutory regulations\n\t\nComplete permits to work, shift handovers, and maintenance documentation\n\t\nLiaise with site management, subcontractors, and the wider engineering team\n\t\nProvide first-line response to electrical emergencies during shift hours\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nNVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Engineering\n\t\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\t\nHVAP in date or lapsed\n\t\nExperience in commercial building maintenance (critical or large corporate sites preferred)\n\t\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n\t\nAbility to work as part of a shift team and independently when required\n\t\nA proactive, professional, and safety-focused approach\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive basic salary plus shift allowance\n\t\nOvertime and on-call opportunities\n\t\nTraining and development within a flagship commercial environment\n\t\nLong-term stability on a prestigious Canary Wharf site\n\t\nSupportive team and clear progression opportunities
