Electrical Project Manager

Are you a Electrical Project Manager looking for a new role with a leading tier one M&E contractor? Do you want to work on projects up to £40 million M&E? As the Mechanical Project Manager you will be exposed to leading the team on services for projects. On a day to day basis you will guide the project delivery team and participate in bid activity when required. Typical developments consist of a mixture of commercial shell & core, commercial fit out and high end residential projects. This role will consist of managing from preconstruction of procurement, delivery, commission and handover for all M&E services.
Key Responsibilities: Manage full project lifecycle (design → procurement → installation → commissioning) Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Coordinate electrical engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations in the UK) Monitor project costs and manage financial performance Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies Oversee site installation and testing/commissioning activities Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Prepare reports, progress updates, and documentation
Experience: 5–10+ years in electrical engineering or project delivery Experience managing electrical installations or infrastructure projects Background in sectors such as construction, utilities, rail, or renewable energy Key Skills Strong project management and leadership ability Technical knowledge of electrical systems (LV/HV distribution, control panels, protection systems) Budgeting and cost control Contract management (e.g., NEC, JCT contracts in the UK) Risk and health & safety management Communication and stakeholder engagement Proficiency with tools such as: Microsoft Project AutoCAD Electrical Primavera P6
