Electrical Maintenance Engineer\n\n Sheffield\n\n 12-hour rotating days & nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)\n\n £47,000 per annum\n\nStafforce Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected steel manufacturing company based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy engineering environment offering long-term stability, strong earnings and technical challenge.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking on a shift basis, you will support the electrical operations of a large-scale manufacturing plant, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime. Key responsibilities include:\n\nElectrical maintenance of motors and drives\nFault finding on electronic cards down to component level\nMaintenance of mill thyristor drives\nElectrical maintenance of overhead D.C.

and A.C. cranes\nMaintenance and fault finding on PLC systems (ABB & Allen Bradley)\nUsing programming tools to diagnose faults and adjust parameters\nMonitoring and maintaining furnace control systems, including calibration of controllers, air/gas transducers, thermocouple changes and furnace lighting procedures\nResponding to breakdowns efficiently and safely to reduce production impact\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:\n\nHNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering\nExperience within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment\nStrong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret electrical drawings\nWorking knowledge of PC-based software (e.g. Excel)\nExperience producing clear shift reports\nA solid understanding of electrical safety legislation and maintenance standards\nProven experience working to SWPs, risk assessments, I&I procedures, permit systems and IEE RegulationsIf you're an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next move in Sheffield and want to work for a recognised name in steel manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.\n\n Apply today or contact Stafforce Recruitment for more information.\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
