Senior Electronic Security Systems Installation Engineer
Location: London & South (Field-Based)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronic Security Systems Installation Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a field-based role covering London and the South, responsible for delivering high-quality installation and commissioning of electronic security systems across a wide range of commercial sites.
The successful candidate will take ownership of full system installation cycles, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards, delivered on time, and represents the exceptional service levels our client is known for.

Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Commissioning
Install, configure and commission CCTV , Access Control , and Intruder Alarm systems.
Carry out first fix , second fix , programming, and commissioning in line with system design documentation.
Produce high-quality test and commissioning reports, as well as final completion documentation.
Client Engagement & Support
Provide technical advice to clients, addressing queries and offering effective solutions to system-related issues.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
Compliance & Best Practice
Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with:

NCP 104
NCP 109
Relevant health and safety regulations
Complete all documentation accurately and within required timelines.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with Project Managers and the wider engineering/administration teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Assist with on-site problem-solving, offering recommendations and corrective actions where required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
Ability to plan and prepare installation works prior to commencement.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to complete accurate work reports.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a wider team.
Positive, professional approach when interacting with clients.

Knowledge & Technical Requirements
Essential
Proven experience installing and commissioning:
CCTV systems
Access Control systems
Intruder Alarm systems
Experience with modern IP-based security solutions and associated networks.
Ability to work with security systems software and applications.
Desirable
Experience with enterprise-level systems such as LenelS2 , Gallagher , C-Cure , etc.
Manufacturer training and/or accreditation.
Qualifications such as NVQ , City & Guilds , BTEC , or 18th Edition .
Role-Specific Requirements
BS7858 security screening (or willingness to undergo).
Enhanced DBS check.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Willingness to work occasional nights away from home when required.

Working Conditions
The role involves regular site work, including:
Working at height using ladders.
Lifting and handling tools and equipment.
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Occasional use of PPE such as hearing protection or respirators.
Regular bending, stretching, or kneeling when accessing installation areas.
