Electrical Fitter

Main T's and C's - Hourly paid electrical engineer - Standard pay up to 50 hours - additional hours at overtime rate (time+half / double time etc) - Works van provided - paid hours door to door - Additional payments for being on call (optional) - Some out of hours / weekend working required - All tools provided - Mobile phone / laptop / tablet provided - All necessary training provided - Subsistence payments made when working away from home / hotels provided. - Maximum 14hr shifts including travel time - Minimum 12hr rest between shifts - 25 days paid holiday in addition to public / bank holidays
Qualifications - NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (essential) - BS 7671 18th Edition - AM2 assessment - Testing and Inspection (2391 or similar) - Appointed Person (isolations) - No HV working or HV experience required
Experience - Electrical inspection, testing, planned and reactive maintenance and installation work in a water management environment and / or moving structure environment - Fault finding / repair / upgrade, new installation - PLC / control panel repair, installation and commissioning - Scada systems - Actuator and drive systems (Rotork etc) - Control panels - Electrical installations associated with mechanical and hydraulic systems (pumps, cylinders etc) - Level sensors, lock counters, transducers, flow meters, HPU's, solar, UPS etc etc
Working as part of a two man team (teamed up with a mechanical fitter) to undertake planned and reactive work on assets owned and operated by the Canal and River Trust - including moving structures (lift bridges, swing bridges, lock gates, flood gates), pumping stations, reservoirs etc Progression to Regional Engineer overseeing the above roles for suitable candidates
