Electrical Fitter Location: Cumbria and Penrith Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum plus company van Type: Full Time
We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join a dynamic operations team and ensure the reliable installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical apparatus across several substations. If you are a hands-on professional with strong craft fitting skills with experience working on high-voltage substations, then we'd love to hear from you. This field-based role will be suited to an organised electrical and mechanically minded professional either seeking progression, professional development or adventure in your role.
Responsibilities - Carry out construction, maintenance, and fault repair work on 33kV/132kV plant and equipment. - Install, inspect, and maintain electrical components including switches, isolators, circuit breakers, batteries, transformers, and protection systems. - Operate safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, company codes of practice, and, where applicable, CDM regulations. - Support the delivery of works in compliance with operational standards and required timeframes. - Participate in 24-hour standby rotas as part of emergency response readiness. - Liaise with team members and engineers to ensure seamless execution of field operations.
