Dumbarton Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team responsible for the design, development, and support of power generation products. This hands-on leadership role involves guiding engineers, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing directly to product development from concept to manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team. Drive the design and development of electrical systems for power generation equipment. Oversee the full product lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, validation, and manufacturing handover. Collaborate with suppliers and OEMs to meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Maintain technical documentation and participate in design reviews. Requirements: Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Proven technical leadership or team management experience. Strong background in electrical system design for power generation or industrial equipment. In-depth knowledge of generators, switchgear, protection systems, and safety standards. Proficiency with design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Familiarity with industry standards (UKCA, UL, CSA, CE). Excellent communication skills.
