We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team on a ground-breaking hydrogen energy project. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking initiative at the forefront of clean energy innovation.
You’ll play a key role in designing, delivering, and optimizing electrical systems and infrastructure for a hydrogen production and/or storage facility, working alongside multidisciplinary teams dedicated to decarbonization and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for hydrogen production, compression, storage, and distribution infrastructure Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, AS/NZS, NEC) Perform power system studies, load flow analysis, and fault level assessments Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications Coordinate with mechanical, process, and controls engineers to ensure fully integrated system design Support procurement and construction teams during delivery and commissioning phases Assist in risk assessments and HAZOPs specific to hydrogen and electrical systems
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Chartered status ) 3–8 years of experience in industrial or energy sector electrical engineering Prior experience on hydrogen, gas, or other renewable/utility-scale projects highly desirable Strong understanding of hazardous area classification (ATEX, IECEx) and high-voltage design Proficient in using electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, PowerFactory) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Familiarity with project lifecycle in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environments
