On behalf of our client, an award winning manufacturer, we are recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Technical Department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing new ideas from Concept through to production.
The Job Role;
Designing products from concept through to production release to a given specification, agreed timescales and to company Quality Management System (QMS)
Work within a multi-disciplined development team environment and use your own initiative to achieve the project requirements
Electrical schematic layout designs
Generate detailed technical documentation (Drawings, BOMs, manuals, etc.)
Generate comprehensive component specifications and designs
Reduce product costs by re-designing existing products
Assist production/service engineers when requested
Collaborate fully with production engineering on new product launch.
Design testing criteria
Produce ECNs for design updates or changes
Educated to Minimum HNC qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline, and along with a strong design background, ideally you will have the following skills and experience;
Proven previous electrical design experience in a manufacturing environment
Fully competent to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics and produce electrical design calculations
The ability and willingness to work hands on to assist fault finding on electrical systems
Working industry knowledge of Electrical Design Software with the ability to create/edit electrical schematics and produce BOMs
Understanding & knowledge of PLC systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills while working with other departments
A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work alone and as part of a team
